AmeriHealth Caritas Delaware and Christiana Care Health System Sign Provider Contract to Serve Delaware’s Medicaid Population
AmeriHealth Caritas Delaware and Christiana Care Health System announced today they have signed an agreement that will give AmeriHealth Caritas Delaware's members access to Christiana Care's hospitals, physicians, and other health care services and facilities. AmeriHealth Caritas Delaware is a managed-care health plan serving Delawareans using Medicaid and long-term services and supports.
AmeriHealth Caritas Delaware members will be able to receive care from Christiana Care-affiliated physicians and other providers at the following locations:
- Christiana Care's Wilmington Hospital in Wilmington and Christiana Hospital in Newark.
- Christiana Care's surgical centers in Newark and Wilmington.
- Christiana Care's Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute in Newark.
- Christiana Care's Middletown Free-Standing Emergency Department.
- Christiana Care's outpatient primary care and specialty practices in Middletown, Newark, Smyrna and Wilmington.
- Christiana Care's five Medical Aid Units in Newark, Smyrna and Middletown.
- Christiana Care's outpatient lab, rehabilitation and imaging services.
- Home health care provided by the Christiana Care Visiting Nurse Association.
